Nothing beats the comfort and ease of a jumpsuit, and if you accessorize it right, it can also become one of your most versatile wardrobe pieces (check out my jumpsuit styling tips here). This H&M Halterneck Jumpsuit in a nautical navy and white color combo is the perfect example of a go-to piece for the warmer months ahead. The open, “party in the back” detail gives it just the right amount of edge to take you from day to night and/or casual to dressy, and the wide palazzo pants and demure bow at the back of the neck give it a touch of old school, lady-like glamour that I love.

Here is a relaxed but chic way to wear the jumpsuit to Mother’s Day brunch, for example. The open back is a bit of a head turner, so to keep the look modest yet stylish, I stuck with a fairly simple palette, i.e., basically navy and white, and minimal accessories. A big, deconstructed tote bag like this one in denim (similar style here), adds a playful touch, while the silver hardware on the bag, and the nude sling-backs with the black cap toe keep the overall look classy.

To take this from a casual to a more glam cocktails or dinner look, I would simply switch my accessories: the tote and sling-backs for mules and a mini shoulder bag or nude patent sandals and a clutch, for example, and add some statement jewelry like a large gold cuff and my favorite red lipstick, et voilà!
