Beach-y Dreams

I recently discovered local designer Lime & Leaf and fell in love with their nature inspired home decor. The company’s founders, Kari and Lori, share my great love of the beach, and they launched a line of products that perfectly reflects this sentiment. Their mission is to bring a taste of nature, in particular, beach life, into their customers homes. To do so, they translated familiar objects like seashells and starfish into fabric prints, and a crashing ocean wave or coral leaf into embroidery, for example. The collection’s color palette is derived from fiery red coral, gentle green seaglass, and soft beige sand.

I’m very attached to this vintage matelassé bedcover (similar style here) found at an outdoor market in Provence many years ago, so I basically decorate around it. I fell for the sheet set sheet set with embroidery that picks up the scalloped edges of the cover, and the coordinating shams and throw pictured below.

The incredibly soft sheets are made with Supima, the highest quality cotton, which means that they will only get softer with each wash. The throw with its sea grass pattern is made from recycled cotton yarn, and is the perfect weight to curl up with to read a book on a chilly day.

Another reason that I love this brand is that their products are sourced and made entirely in the USA, and they even founded a program to give back to the American textile industry. Their website is very user friendly and allows you to “design” a room by dragging and dropping your favorite items onto a sofa to see how the colors look mixed and matched. I went for this combo because I like the subtle pop of color against the light pink walls and otherwise white and silver design elements in my bedroom.

They also offer a variety of gifts like scented candles, frames, vases, and jewelry, table top items, and accent pillows. Check them out, and get 15% off of your order when you use the promo code SYLVIA15.
